Giving back to the Community

Our office is actively involved in community service! We believe it is our responsibility to provide services to members of the community if we are able to.

Dr. Currimbhoy is actively involved with the California Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (CALAOMS), serving on the Board of Directors for the last 7 years. CALAOMS works diligently on many levels providing advancements in oral and maxillofacial surgery. Programs range from promoting patient safety through continued education programs, assistant education programs and advocacy. Over the last decade, she had volunteered her time on several international mission trips, providing free dental care to those in need, and even participated in local clinics in Los Angeles and Orange County. During her time in Sacramento, Dr. Currimbhoy very much enjoyed volunteering on the craniofacial panel at UC Davis Medical Center, where she was able to work with pediatric patients with cleft and craniofacial syndromes and abnormalities.

Most recently, Dr. Currimbhoy has been involved with the charitable arm of CALAOMS through California Care Force (CCF), providing free dental, medical and vision services at various clinics throughout the year in both Northern and Southern California.

In previous years, Dr. Currimbhoy has participated in these clinics with her office surgical assistants. They’ve donated their time in the Coachella Valley Clinics, the Sacramento Expo center clinic and the Veterans Stand Down Clinic in Placer County. CCF has provided services to over 36,500 people!

Last year during the pandemic, the clinics were postponed but they are finally back to help serve the many patients that are in need of care.
